Happy New Year!!
2012 was a year of great change for us. This time last year we had no idea that we would be moving to Chicago! We found out in January 2012 that we would be moving here and it was definitely a big shock! In addition to the anticipation of moving here, Patrick was finishing up dental school, taking his boards, and graduating in May. We also found out that we would be an aunt and uncle before the end of the year. In October my sister had her sweet baby boy, Carter, and he's already brought so much joy to us and our family. I'm so excited to see him grow in 2013! We've also had some heartache this year with my grandmother passing away in June and my uncle passing away too. It's been a hard year for the Anderson family but we are thankful for the little blessings and new additions to our family. My parents moved from the house I grew up in to another house in Irving. The new house is amazing and perfect for all of us to be there all together during the holidays.Moving to Chicago has been the biggest change but also a huge blessing. We could never have imagined how much we would love this city. There is so much to do here and there is never a boring moment. Patrick is loving his program and co-residents and I've been blessed with job that I really love. We've found a church and have joined a marrieds small group. We are looking forward to growing in our faith and marriage with these couples.
We have a lot to look forward to in 2013. In addition to enjoying and getting more settled in our life here in Chicago, we have exciting plans coming up. We are hoping to take a ski trip soon, celebrating Patrick's birthday and St. Patty's day here, a trip to New York, family and friends visiting, trips back to Texas, and much more.
Patrick and I rang in 2013 at Zocalo in Chicago with two of our couple friends from our small group at church. We had a wonderful time! I couldn't have asked for a better NYE in Chicago!

We hope everyone had a fun and safe NYE! Looking forward to 2013... hoping it's the best year yet!
Love,
