We have had a busy month here in Chicago! Patrick has started school and he's loving it. He is enjoying working with the little ones that come into his clinic. I have been job searching and in the last week or so I have had some very promising leads and interviews. Hopefully more to come on that soon! We have also been fortunate to have several visitors this month! It's been nice seeing familiar faces in Chicago.
My parents came the 12th thru the 16th. We had a great time with them!
On Friday my parents and I went to the Field Museum and had some Lou Malnati's famous salad and pizza for lunch. When Patrick got off from work he met us downtown and we all did a river architectural boat tour. The tour was amazing! It rained a bit while on the boat but it was still great. We learned so much about the history of the city, fun facts, and the architecture.

We ate at the Navy Pier for dinner at Harry Careys Tavern. On Saturday we did the double decker bus tour around the city. This was another amazing way to see the town and learning interesting facts. After the boat and bus tour, we feel pretty prepared to give the tours ourselves! We did some shopping on the Mag Mile (my favorite spot in Chi Town!) and we stopped at the Taste of Chicago festival for lunch. Chicago is never short on outdoor events in the summer. This was a great way to try food from restaurants that we haven't heard of or been to yet.

We took my parents to our favorite restaurant in Chicago for dinner- Giordanos! Best pizza in the city!
On Sunday breakfast we took my parents to our favorite little diner down the street for a great breakfast. Afterwards, we headed to Wrigley Field for the Cubs game! We had an awesome time at the game. We had great seats in the shade and the Cubs won!
After we rested from the game we had dinner in Lincoln Park at RJ Grunts. We hadn't been there before and we are glad we went. Good food and atmosphere.
Sadly, my parents had to leave on Monday morning but we were so thankful for them coming and visiting us! Thanks Mom and Dad for a great weekend!
That same week we met up with friends from Baylor in Dallas and saw our friends band from Austin performing here. We also got to spend some time with Patrick's aunt and cousins. We had quite a week!
Since then we've just been hanging out. We have been doing a lot of things around the city with some of Patrick's classmates. We have gone to a professors retirement party, music in the park, checking out new bars and restaurants, and attending a grand opening of a teacher's new pediatric clinic in the city. So much fun!
